How to Apply
We are delighted that you are considering
Cowan House for your child.
Our application process starts online. To make sure your application goes smoothly, please read the information below before beginning.
We will require a copy of the following supporting documents during the application process:
- Your child’s birth certificate
- Your child’s most recent school report
- Any educational and/or psychological assessment reports (if relevant)

Once your application fee payment and documents have been received, our admissions office will be in touch to schedule your child’s on-site playdate or assessment.
Grade RRR to Grade 1 enrolment: A playdate will be set up in our Pre Primary area, this runs for about 45 – 60 minutes depending on grade of entry. During this session you are able to spend time with your child in this environment.
Grade 2 to Grade 7 enrolment: Your child will be required to spend an academic assessment day with us, where they will experience the joy of being a Cowan House boy or girl first hand.
Boarding Assessment: Potential boarders are required to complete a 2-night boarding assessment which includes a stay in the Boarding Establishment as well as the classroom and assessment component mentioned above.
Following your playdate or assessment, you will meet with our Headmaster.
