To ensure that our pupils are future-ready and prepared to walk confidently into the next chapter, we incorporate key events and skills development into the educational programme.

Introductions
We invite local high schools to give presentations to our Grade 6 pupils and encourage parents to start the high school application process during the Grade 6 academic year.

Preparation
From the start of Grade 7, pupils practise entrance exam papers to build confidence, refine their skills and ensure they are prepared for the high school application process.

Confidence
Interview techniques form part of the Life Skills curriculum; this ensures that pupils are able to engage with their prospective high schools confidently.

Feedback
Regular feedback from feeder high schools keeps our staff and academic team aligned with the skills and insights pupils need for a confident start to high school.

Our pupils develop leadership skills through a councillor system, while compulsory sport builds teamwork and discipline, instilling values that will guide them in high school and throughout life.

Boarding is encouraged in Grade 7 to help students transition smoothly into high school life, particularly for those who will attend schools offering boarding.

The Headmaster, Head of Academics and Deputy Head meet with respective Heads to discuss Grade 7 pupils, providing valuable insights as part of the process after applications to high schools.
